Thanks for nothing! Listen to radio traffic reports and write the rest of the story. You could even call the police for details.

How can you listen in on police communications? Last I heard TR police used encrypted radio.

The traffic light there needs to be changed so that it allows one side at a time to go when leaving Walmart and BJ' because the way that it is set up now, you have to "play chicken" with the vehicles coming to and from both of those shopping centers, and that's an accident waiting to happen!

Lemme guess - the driver of one vehicle was 93 the driver of the second vehicle was 87. One of them was scared to death to be going over 20mph and slammed on their brakes. OR - one of them went the wrong way. That "intersection" is a death trap.

OR - the driver of one vehicle was 19 the driver of the second vehicle was 20. One of them was texting and not paying attention OR - one of them was yakin it up on the phone, then dropped it and while picking it up turned the wheel the wrong way. Yeah, I blame the "intersection".

That whole strip from 70 cirle to the hospital is a friggin circus. If you would like to sharpen up your riding skills on a motorcycle, this area is second only to the gaza strip in lakewood, rt. 70 to county line rd on rt 9.

My daughter witnessed this accident while standing in the parking lot directly in front of it as it unfolded. She heard the frantic sounds of a horn and spotted a van with it's hazards on moving at a high rate of speed side swiping cars and the median as if it were unable to stop. To her it really appeared that there was a mechanical problem with the acceleration. She called the police as it was happening.

I believe the Patch was just trying to get the word out as quickly as possible about the traffic snarl in front of Walmart. This accident was a bad one being that the van ended up running the red light and hitting two more cars in the intersection. The tip here is what made me take an extra hour before leaving my house as to not sit in the mess. My daughter informed me afterward. Thank you Patch.
