Burglar Steals Christmas Presents in Pleasant Plains
Two pocketbooks taken containing cash and check
Thieves spoiled a Pleasant Plains family's Christmas by stealing cash and checks.
Police investigated a burglary at a Route 9 home Monday morning in which an unlocked side door was entered while the homeowner was out for breakfast. The burglar stole two pocketbooks from the residence, police said, which contained two Christmas envelopes with checks as well as $200 cash.
Officer Steve Austin and John Bajcic are investigating.
- Police report that at least six unlocked vehicles were entered Christmas night in the Pleasant Plains section of the township.
A GPS, cash and a credit card were taken in the burglaries, which occurred on Medjay Street and the Liberty Village community road.
Detective John Bajcic and Officer Rich Karkovice are investigating.

Never had to lock doors in TR, but wouldn't think twice about that anymore. My eyes watch everyone and every vehicle on my street! Everyone should be a neighborhood watchdog, if you aren't already.
