Couple Indicted in 2008 Death of Infant
Denise M. Manco and Rondell F. Moore indicted in 2008 incident
A Seaside Heights couple has been indicted by an Ocean County grand jury on a count of manslaughter in the 2008 death of their 11-month-old baby.
Denise M. Manco and Rondell F. Moore were indicted last week on a count of second-degree manslaughter in the death of their child, referred to in the indictment as J.M., in Seaside Heights, on Sept. 12, 2008.
The indictment says J.M. was born Oct. 1, 2007. The pair also was indicted on a count of second-degree endangering the welfare of the child, J.M., and a count of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, stated by the indictment as being heroin.
"There was an ongoing investigation, and it was felt there was enough evidence to move forward (with an indictment) at this time," Ocean County Assistant Prosecutor Michael Weatherstone said.
Denise Manco's Facebook page includes a Sept. 12, 2011 tribute to Jaiden Rondell Moore, born Oct. 1, 2007, and died Sept. 12, 2008. She is a graduate of Toms River High School North, according to her profile.
Manco's status is unclear. She was not listed in the Ocean County Corrections Department's inmate information website today.
Moore, 37, is being held in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $100,000 bail, on a charge of reckless manslaughter after he was arrested on Sept. 10, 2012, and on a charge of willful nonsupport, according to the Ocean County Corrections Department's inmate information website. The source of those charges is unclear.
In a separate incident, Manco and Moore were arrested last December after a raid on their Seaside Heights motel room resulted in the seizure of 122 bags of heroin and a small amount of marijuana. They were charged at that time with possession of heroin, possession of heroin under one half-ounce with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute in a recreational zone and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

This is your fault. Rondell did not get enough breaks in life because of your racisim. Somebody call MSNBC on this and start up the band like the libs did for that cop killer in Philly.

What!? Since when do I have to be responsible for a grown adult man? He is old enough to make his own choices and he choose a life of drugs and crime. Nothing racist about this...stop using the "race card" as a reason for him being an idiot!

this is no ones fault but their own, denise is white and grew up in a good home in a beautiful respectful neighborhood, and she is just as much fault as he is....it doesn't matter what color you are, or how much money you make, or what family you are from, if you choose to become a scumbag junkie it is your choice and no one elses fault but their own, and they r getting off way to easy for killing their own child, it is a disgrace that our system lets people plead so low.......that poor baby should have never been with them to begin with, people like that should not be allowed to pro-create.....and lets top it off, i bet it was our money, tax dollars, that paid for the heroin that killed that poor baby.....

Too bad by now i have forgotten how the child died. Just shows how slow the system is. Wonder if welfare paid for their heroin since they no doubt could not hold a job "stoned".

So many people pray to have children. These monsters have a child and throw a precious blessing away. Be at peace now, little one. Justice is/will be done.

The problem is the govt. They breed these scumbags allowing them to live off of welfare and not get jobs. And know the scumbags they bred are Still living off of taxpayer dollars. They should have made them eat the bundles of heroin so.they would have died.

Why could*nt they just give this child away to someone who would live and take care of it and want it??? why did they have to kill this baby why??? it sickens me to see that lowlife pond scum people have these children only to collect a check everymonth to pay for their drugs and then when there is no more they kill their children.. Rotting in hell is too good for them.. they should be beaten eaten by a beast and then their bones rot in hell.. God Bless this poor baby.. Where was the system for her..

I'm confused by this story.... the indictment was for manslaughter of the baby.... but the entire story here is about the drug bust. Is the drug bust linked in some way with the baby's death? Was the baby's death being investigated when they found the drugs?
I wish someone would clean up this story and make some sense out of it. I re-read it three times, but I still don't get it!

Accountability is such an issue with society. When someone gets a slap on the wrist they know there's no accountability so they keep doing bad things. If you commit a crime you should pay the price and not pull a race card. Just sad that their child paid the price because they were selfish ~ shame on them and karmas a bit~~

Not sure of the circumstances in this case but can say that I knew Rondell years ago. He was a kind and thoughtful person. I also know that the death of his child devastated Rondell. From what I heard it was a case of SIDS. Rondell was never the same. I would occasionally hear from him or see him and my heart ached for him. It is a tragedy what happened to that baby...whatever it is that happened. May Jaiden rest in peace.

I know Rondell and my opinion of him couldn't be more different than yours. Everyone in Seaside knows he is a drug dealer and pimps out white girls as well. He's already has two previous convictions for drug offenses, including one that resulted in jail time. Oh .. lets not forget how he was slashed in the face a couple of weeks ago by a couple of his brothers. It's a shame they didn't get his jugular vein. Both he and his wife should be sterilized.

they both killed that baby......what parent is stupid enough to rub heroin on a baby's gums because they are teething....they were to worried about their high getting ruined so they had to shut up the baby somehow, certainly not a kind caring person.

Maybe they considered it neglect if and I'm saying IF based on the info here they were too stoned or unconscious maybe the charges are due to that well never know if they could've gotten her help. Just a possibility.
