Cup Thrown From Car Injures Woman, Strikes Her Face
Victim suffers facial injury while walking on Whittier Avenue
A 38-year-old Money Island woman said she was assaulted while walking on Whittier Avenue near Poe avenue, according to Toms River police.
She told Officer George Fernicola that a black male, who was a rear passenger in a newer model white four-door vehicle, threw a cup of soda and ice at her striking her face, Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said.
The victim did not recognize the suspect or two other black females who were in the vehicle.
The victim was transported to Community Medical Center by Toms River Police EMS for a facial injury.
