That's why even "nice areas" should have a Neighborhood Watch. When people see lots of customers coming and going, they call the cops who will investigate. Good work, TRPD!

Great job TRPD. sadly have a feeling that's just the tip of the Iceberg. It IS everywhere to a degree but it seems TR thru reading the patch AND hearing stories from locals I've met (proud Benny here but lived in TR 11 yrs, Belmar 3 yrs before that and Brick a yr before that) is particularly bad! Maybe in part bc its such a big town but I hope we read if more of these busts bc all these same pll and their customers are on the roads with us and our kids for one thing. I believe in live and let live to a pt but things are way outta control. Keep up the good works guys. Save TR!

Toms River isn't immune from drugs anymore than other towns are. "Sue" hit the nail on the head. TRPD can't do it by themselves. They need our help like we need theirs. If we don't "POLICE" our town, we can expect more incidents like this or worse. All it takes is an annonymous phone call, and TRPD will handle the rest.

Drugs have been a problem for years in TR, just like anywhere else. Still one of the safest places to live in the country. Lets not forget that the law is what empowers these people to take the actions that effect other law abiding people in the community. Change the laws and get junkies in hospitals, take out the revenue from the drug game and you wont see these type of issues. Its time we re assess the laws and make a real change instead of sending congrats to police online for working within a broken system that will only instantly recreate the same situation over and over again.

Most had address's in TR , so TR ..does have a drug problem..Didn't mean to imply that ONLY Seaside had the problem , it's Nation wide and some towns have a handle on it, some don't or won't admit there is a problem, until it's to late for some...I'd rather support my child through the best college , than go through want some parents have to on there child's drug problem. Cost can be $ 1,000.00 per day for help, that's NOT chump change and Ins. pays a little, not a whole lot...Dealing to make a living IS putting our children in hospitals and funeral homes. ,Without dealers you have a chance....good luck and hope PD is on top of it !

WOW!! Really 1stcav??? How ignorant are you?? I agree with JMAR - Toms River has had a huge drug problem for years and years. I am a long time resident, since 1968. Saw the different drugs come and go and be replaced with newer better versions - ha! But as the population has increased so has the drug use and abuse. However, its not people that are displaced from Seaside from the Storm, so stop blaming that and open your eyes. There were at least 12 Toms River kids that died in the last 6 months from overdoses of either Heroin or Oxies. These kids were from TR High Schools East, North and South. Not to mention the deaths of the kids from Lacey Twp. Most of the drugs they got - from other TR HS kids that are dealinig it to them and have been for years. Its disgusting!! And JAIL is NOT the place for them. They all need major help - most of the families have done whatever they can - inpatient and outpatient rehabs, etc. Enough is not being done in our Judicial system and especially our Health Care system. Most of these kids are from good families that do work, have and pay for health insurance, etc. They too, were naive, like the folks who posted that TR is a safe place to live. It's not. It is the 5th largest CITY in the State of NJ!!! Wake up folks. Toms River is and probably always will be - loaded with drug dealers killing our children. So stop blaming the Storm and others - and start taking responsibility TOMS RIVER RESIDENTS, COPS, ALL!!!!

glad to see the cops making drug busts. Now if they just listen to the residents and bust the rest of the places selling drugs, we will be in good shape. Can't blame it on being in TR though. I have lived in TR all my life ,attended all TR schools and never once in my life have i tried a drug. Its all about your own will power. People need to stop making excuses. Parents need to start watching their kids and caring more about what their kids are doing. TV, video games, internet, computers, cell phones and social media are not ment to raise your kids. Take an active part in their lives and pay attention to the SIGNS.

U guys are blind! Drugs are everywhere especially in middle and upper class neighborhoods they the ones that can get tons of money from there parents. The upper class white kids that wanna b poor and broke cause it sounds cool when 50 cent and nas talk about flippen bricks and coppen shit lol, it's said and know how a huge huge part of kids wouldn't b doin drugs if there parents weren't so busy and never really even believe that there little Johnny would EVER do drugs, they for blacks, poor people and losers! Well guess what drugs are there and everywhere and it's every kind of peorson doin them, lawers, doctors, cops, ur neighbors lol they should legalize everything!! If a person than chooses to still do drugs and know all the risks that come with them, so b it. Goverment don't own our body's. and some dumb ass ignorant people leaven stupid comment, kill them all, they dirt bag losers frrom sleep side, if that waz ur kid or brother or sis I highly dout u would b talken like that, us do everything in ur power to help that loved one and they need to want help. You have no idea who they are or what they been through. Drug addict suffer every day of there life's and yes some are dirt bags but others just got cought up in bad shit and made bad choices!

Oh almost forgot that othr comment; how do they afford that much money worth of drugs haha really?? THEY SELL THEM!! They drug dealers! Just had to let him/her know how they got so much drugs. And the messed up part is them copping a plea and ratting on oter people to get out of trouble or less troubl. I don't get it! The cops risk there lives sometimes wit people holden guns and all the work they put in to catchen the people and they just say a few names and they get outta jail lol I know they climb the ladder and get bigger and higher up drug dealers, but that's low ratting somebody else out to get outta trouble that nobody else cause but ur dumb ass selfs. I don't condone drug dealing or drugs but u never know what a person is goin through mabey thay had a chance to make quick money to pay for something inportant for there kids and now u ruined there life's by ratting cause u a weasel and can't b a man and take the trouble u cause! Now I know people gunna say something bout the selling drugs to pay for kids operation lol I'm just using example that u never know what's goin on in other people's life's and u shouldn't b draggen there names through shit if u don't know the whole story or the person. I'm done now

Drugs are illegal, if someone is found to have involvement with dealing there should be much stricter consequences. You know that it would be a lot less attractive to earn that quick cash if you knew you will spend some time or even get a life sentence for large quantities of the hard stuff. I have no sympathy, dealers are ruining families and could be considered murders if you take a different look at it.
