A North Maple Drive home is destroyed after a 45 minute fire fight consumed much of rear, attic and second floor of the home.

The fire broke out around 11:15 p.m. and was under control before noon, according to Pleasant Plains Fire Company.

All five mainland fire companies plus Lakewood responded to the blaze, as first responders arrived to find the rear of the home fully involved and one occupant who had escaped in the driveway.

Three hose lines and one ladder truck were needed after the fire spread from the first floor rear, up to the second floor and then the roof.

Fire official Bob Sinnott of Silverton Fire Company was treated for minor facial injuries as a result of the fire. No injuries to occupants were reported.

Mr. V, if you don't have all the facts, you should hold off on making sarcastic comments that reflect poorly on the fire department.

am/pm? drive/ave? Really these are the things brought to light? How about a family lost their home 3 days before Thanksgiving? This is terrible. A home fire is awful. Prayers to this family.
