Food Drive Kicked Off During Halloween Parade

Event will benefit Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean County, held through Nov. 8

The is filled with charitable organizations. Turns out, there’s even charitable efforts happening along the parade route while the parade is going on.

Veltri Real Estate’s 121 Washington Street office kicked off a food drive for the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties last night during the 74th annual Toms River Halloween Parade.

Parade goers could stop into the office during the parade and drop off nonperishable items needed by the food bank.

“It’s for a great cause during these difficult times for so many of our neighbors,” said Veltri staffer Kandi Cirelli.

It’s the first food drive for the office, she said.

“Yes this is my first time doing this; just thought it’s something that’s really needed now,” she said.

The collection will be held through Nov. 8.

Nonperishable items will be collected at the Toms River office as well as the offices at 707 Old Burnt Tavern Road in Brick and 2025 Highway 71 in Spring Lake Heights.
