An Ocean County grand jury indicted a township man with burglary and criminal mischief, charging that he broke into a Route 37 car dealership in 2011.

The indictment charges John C. Mcevoy with third degree burglary, stating that he "knowingly" entered the Lester Glenn Automotive building on Route 37 east "with the purpose to commit an offense therein" on Oct. 11, 2011.

Mcevoy also faces a charge of third degree criminal mischief in the same incident, as he "purposely or knowingly did damage the tangible property of Lester Glenn Automotive," the indictment reads.
