Live Cameras of Seaside During Storm

Some cameras' view impacted by heavy rain

A series of live cameras show a rain-soaked glimpse of the barrier island during Hurricane Sandy.

You can check in on a North or South view of the Seaside Heights beach throughout the storm. The cameras are maintained by Seaside Heights Tourism.

Joey Harrison's Surf Club hosts a beach camera here but it's down as of noon Monday. The restaurant and club are experiencing heavy winds and high water levels Monday, similar to Hurricane Irene last year.

The state Department of Transportation has a traffic camera pointed west over Route 37 at the intersections of Route 35 and at Fischer Boulevard, here.

Toms River Office of Emergency Management has activated its Hurricane Emergency Hotline: 732-818-9901.
