A contested race for Ward 4 of Toms River Township saw current Councilman Al Manforti win against Dem. Challenger Eli Eytan.

The one-year unexpired term had about 1,000 votes separate the two men for  a ward seat that represents neighborhoods such as downtown Toms River.

Rep. Al Manforti:4,068, 57.26 percent

Dem. Eli Eytan: 3,032, 42.68 percent

The uncontested race for Ward 3's unexpired term saw current councilman Rep. Jeffrey Carr garner 6,866 votes.
