Copy-cat viewers do here what they see on the show -- fight, have sex and generally act like NY jerks.
Now we need a show like Shore Cops, rounding up the perps in each episode.

Really a 5th season, maybe we shoudl restrict them like they did over seas. isnt there a enough drama in seaside.

The locals should continue to make it known to them that they need to staty home and not come to seaside anymore. Why should we welcome them with open arms everytime they come back?

I'll tell you why.....
even though you may personally find these people repulsive (as do I), they are shining a huge spotlight on our area. These idiots are showing people that Ocean County an awesome place to come and spend their money. How is that a bad thing? I can already see a HUGE difference in the amount of people at the boardwalk. I realize they give us a negative perception to the rest of the country and even the world but that is a small price to pay for a thriving local economy.

I would like to say this I have watched a minute or two of this show because my husband and kid had it on. WOW amazing. There not even from Jersey!!! Also I think one of them is Jewish or something.. Now I know I sound stupid but my point is that There give ME, a Italian American a bad name. You think my family act's that way. Or my Grandparents would think this was how Italians should act... Please I am so surprised they didn't get there ass's handed to them in Italy. They should have all gone and prayed to the Papal. We don't need you at Seaside really go down some more to Wild Wood or Something.

honestly, what bothers me the most is that this perverted acholol induced behavior is celebrated all over "pop culture" TV and the message it gives this generation of young adults and teenages is "its okay to behave like them". its sick and disturbing. this world is having a nervous breakdown.

Being a Jersey Shore resident, I hate that these guys are making people think that we're all like that down here, but the fact is they auditioned for a reality show just like thousands if people have and made it. No one knew what it would turn into. They're just immature kids having fun. You can't blame them for the crime or mishaps happening around here. People are responsible for their own actions.

The problems that happened in Seaside a couple weeks ago, and high prices are our main concerns. Not a bunch of Kids that want to come down, have fun and put a touch of added excitement that the town needs. We need to give the cast a break from the negativity.

I think the vast majority of the cops that are actually trainined in seaside aregreat and well respected. the summer cops not so much, they shouldnt even be hired untill they have jobs for them to go to. Why cant we hire all these out of work cops part time for the summer and bring in local experience instead fo tiring to bring in resources from another area. I know the summer cops are cheaper but the amount of part timers the hieghts could get right now that have actually been through the police academy etc would be huge. These young summer cops dont have the expereince to manage these types of crowds!

What's scary is that these individuals are NOT kids. They are well into adulthood. If I am not mistaken, "The Situation" is in his early thirties. Shouldn't they be at the stage in their lives where they stop the bar-hopping and look to settle down? If their fifteen minutes of fame were to expire immediately what would they do with the rest of their lives? They can't even go overseas without getting into legal trouble. I just dont understand what their draw is. I guess it's the rubber-necking theory.. people have to stop and look at an accident. If this is what entertains society, we're doomed.

I can't believe how narrow minded you people are. I am certain that at that age, if any one of you first stone casters were given the chance to be a star and made wealthy, you would act in the exact same way or worse. But that's besides the point. Does no one see the obvious benefits of all this? There is no such thing as bad publicity, and any attention that this area gets means money in YOUR pocket! Maybe instead of passing judgement on others in your spare time, you should pick up an economics book and read it.

There's no money going into anyone's pockets in Seaside, Dev, except the sleaze motel owners and crap boardwalk businesses. In fact, year round residents - you know, the actual taxpayers - watch as town expenses mount (special cops for Jersey Shore and the nightclubs, etc) and property values fall and fall - while the absolute ghetto reputation of the town (thanks again to MTV, for validating it) drives away middle class vacationing families with money to spend, or people from North Jersey who would buy and retire down here, etc.
So yeah, Dev, here's to all the money that's pouring into Seaside.

Two of them are actually from New Jersey and one is from Rhode Island. We can't only blame New York for this. It's a Northeast thing. I believe they chose New Jersey because we have a great beach, bar, and boardwalk scene.

Dev was correct though. It is money in your pocket. You may not see it yet, but increasing tourism, in any area in New Jersey, will eventually help out everyone.

Lawli, if they're already planning a Season 5 here, exactly when is this money going to hit our pockets? Probably about the same time that Northern NJ sees that windfall from the popularity of the Sopranos.

It is sad that people sit around hating on others who are just tryna have fun! Life is short & people need to realize, you should live it up! Yeah work and responsibilities are important but you can't just sit around all the time stressing! By the way, how is the cast of Jersey Shore putting you guys down and make you guys look bad? They don't say in any of their episodes "oh the people in seaside heights are crazy & drink all the time" no, they show what THEY do to have fun ! The Jersey Shore is about a group of people living together & end up growing into a family! & the true italian Vinny, he doesn't put down italians or say that's how they act by drinking, he shows his family making beautiful meals & shows us how amazing italian families & their traditions are! The sad part is half of u have never even seen a full episode or watched one season to see what they are truely about! So don't judge a book by its cover!
