Nominate Your Favorite Diners

Tell us your local favorites so we can include them in our Readers’ Choice 2012 poll.

What's the best diner in town?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows diners to nominate the best spots in town.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included. We may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure our readers' favorites make the cut.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Is this the one that's next to Mulligans? It used to be the Lighthouse, I think?

I don't always eat at diners.

But when I do, I prefer the Four Seasons.

The Crystal Diner, on Route 37, near the intersection of Route 166, is HANDS-DOWN the BEST! No question about it. You might as well give 'em The Trophy, now!

Four Seasons is way to expensive. Their breakfast prices are sky high.
I like the cozy kitchen for breakfast.

Huh, where do you live? What year are you in? Too expensive for breakfast? If you think a few bucks for breakfast is expensive I guess the Four Seasons in NYC for breakfast is out of the question with its $29.00 pancakes?

It's $10.00 for eggs, bacon, toast, homefries and coffee. Thats crazy. I love Diners, eat at them all the time for breakfast. I can name several that are at least $3.00 cheaper. It's just breakfast. It shouldn't cost $10.00 for breakfast.

Tried "Four Seasons" when they first opened and was not impressed. I waited a little while, tried it again .... still not a good experience. Ordered a chicken dish with prosciutto and cheese; chicken was still pink and there was no prosciutto! Waitress then insisted the "pink part is the prosciutto". Uh, nope, look again. Never short on tenacity, I tried the place for a third time since it always looked busy and hey, could have been a coincidence that the previous visits were not good or could have been that they were still working out the kinks. The third time I ordered eggs and figured it would be safe ... really ... how can you ruin eggs? By using margarine on the toast and serving flavorless home fries with them, that's how. Check please!! I'm done.

"Shut Up and Eat" on Main Street, Toms River has phenomenal French Toast. The other place I like is "Fast Break" on 37 near Vaughn.

When I want diner food, I just ask myself a simple question: "Where would Snooki and her "Jersey Shore" dimwitted friends go, and then I go SOMEWHERE ELSE!
