One Westbound Lane of Route 37 Closed Near Oak Ridge Parkway
Vehicle collides with pole
Traffic is building after a vehicle struck a utility pole on Route 37 westbound near the Oak Ridge Parkway, police said.
Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the single-vehicle accident had only minor injuries but is slowing traffic in the westbound lanes. One lane is closed at 2:45 p.m. he said. He described the incident as minor.
The pole remains standing as police are currently responding to the accident, which is near the Oak Ridge Parkway and Lakehurst Road intersection.
No detours are in place but one lane is closed. Two westbound lanes of traffic remain open.
