The 11th anniversary of Sept. 11 was remembered Tuesday at East Dover Fire House, to a diverse turnout of local officials, residents, schoolchildren, clergy and emergency responders.

Participants included the Big Blue Singing Crew from Monsignor Donovan, East Dover elementary students, and fire officials Sam Seaman, John Lightbody, Bob Abrams, John Saleni and others. A special dove release culminated the event, which also saw a commemorative bell ringing and the East Dover fire alarm being sounded twice to mark the attack on the Twin Towers.
