Police Seek Information In Nighttime Robbery of Buermann Avenue Man

Victim robbed of suboxone pills, wallet

A 46-year-old Toms River man, who lives on Buermann Avenue, said he was robbed by two males he met at the Garfield Avenue WaWa, according to Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

The 46 year old reported to police at midnight Saturday that at 9 p.m. he met two subjects by the WaWa at Garfield Avenue.

The victim reported to Officer Tim Sysol that the males asked for a cigarette, then he walked to his home nearby to get a jacket and shortly thereafter one suspect pulled a knife and demanded his wallet.

The suspects then when into the victims pants looking for his wallet and removed 60 suboxone pills.

The victim then stated that the two males fled the area on foot, one of which left a grey and white quicksilver winter jacket at the scene that was recovered by the officers.

The suspects are described as two white males, each weighing about 160 lbs, 5’ 7”,  about 20 years of age, one wearing a red shirt and the other a black baseball cap and white tank top.

The victim possessed the suboxone pills legally, Mastronardy said.

This story doesn't make sense. Why is the victim carrying all these pills around? Did the perps follow him across the highway? If the man was being followed why would he leave a public area? Something is wrong with this story. The part about him going home to get a jacket is odd too.

My thoughts exactly, the drs that do anything to do with pain management that I've been to have signs that even with a police report no new scripts will be issued bc that's what ppl were doing. I've talked to my current drs receptionist at length (nothing to steal here I told them I didn't want those Meds anymore bc I got tired if the $287 COPAY monthly for something that didn't help the pain anymore so if u want flexerill asking your dr would b better than braving my alarm or Akitas) bc she has some of the same back problems I have and she's told me stories you wouldn't believe. Either his dr is different than the ones I've known (all4 had same rules I just changed ins but they were all very similar) or more likely he was going to sell them or else why have them on him that's anywhere from a weeks supply to two wks or even a month from what I heard about how that med works and they stole them all vs paying for them. The police may think so too but I doubt there's much they can do. More drs should make ppl go in weekly to have their Meds counted. Some who sell them would just do it more slowly but if they did this RANDOMLY they'd catch the ones whose month supply is gone in 1 day. They finally got the puters linked and the same recept told me they had to "fire" half their patients for going to up to 10-12 drs.Making $30K a mo, this is an epidemic but I believe the authorities are trying to start to be one step ahead if them"

"Your the stupid one!"

Calling someone stupid while misusing simple English: (You're = you are. Your means it belongs to you. Your car. Your house.): Priceless!
