Real Housewives' Melissa Gorga To Host Fundraiser at Aqua Blu

Toms River event will benefit sick aunt, Gorga says

A fundraiser at Aqua Blu will give ticketholders a full dinner alongside Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members, husband and wife Joe and Melissa Gorga.

But the Dec. 5 event at the new restaurant is also a benefit for Melissa's aunt, who is battling cancer.

"I have an aunt that is very near and dear to my heart. I spent most of my childhood years with her daughter, my cousin, growing up.  Unfortunately, she has gotten very sick," wrote Melissa. "It started as oral cancer in her mouth and traveled to her lungs and is now squamous cell cancer.  My heart breaks for her and my cousins everyday. Her medicine is becoming extremely costly and putting her in a very bad situation. I am hosting this event to help Lorraine Royle who is a wonderful person and like everyone else who has cancer, doesn't deserve it."

Melissa Gorga joined the third season of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." She is a longtime Toms River native who moved to North Jersey while studying at college. She's married more than seven years to a real estate developer, Joe Gorga.

Tickets are $85 per person and include dinner and a meet and greet with Joe and Melissa Gorga. It's being billed as a charity CD signing, as well as including a "family-style" dinner. Currently, Melissa Gorga has a song available for purchase as a download, released in August, called "On Display."

Tickets are for one of two seatings: 5 p.m. or 7:45 p.m.

The tickets are being sold on the Eventbrite page for the event, here.

For questions or seating specifications, please call 914-843-1434.

Aqua Blu opened recently on Route 37 before the bridge to Seaside Heights.

She sings on autotune, not worth the price of admission. Much better to donate to the American Cancer Society - don't give these people any more attention or money. They need to just go away...

I would not even consider it. It would be a complete waste of money.
