Suspect At Large In Ortley Beach Restaurant Burglary

Glass front doors smashed with cinder block.

 

Toms River police are investigating a burglary at the Golden Gate Express Restaurant on Route 35 north, Ortley Beach. 

A police investigation found that a suspect broke the glass front doors with a cinder block to gain entry into the store, according to Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

Proceeds from the burglary were approximately $100 and the tip jar that was on the front counter, according to police.

The burglary occurred between midnight and 6 a.m. on Sunday.

Officer Mathew Broderick was the investigating officer. Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Detective Capoano assisted in the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Lieutenant Loring Dunton at 349-0150 ext 1215.

Officer Mathew Broderick was the investigating officer, no wonder why I haven't seen him in any movies lately. We miss you Ferris Bueller!
