Suspect Leaves Behind Shoes As He Flees Vehicle Theft
Incident near Presidential Boulevard
Police were unable to find a man who stole a laptop from a car, but they were able to find the shoes he left behind.
Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said that a white man fled with a laptop taken from a car 7 a.m. Friday and lost his shoes in the process.
Police were patrolling the apartments on Presidential Boulevard when Officer Raul Diaz saw a suspicious man with a bag, said Mastronardy.
"The suspect realizing he was being watched dropped the bag and fled into a wooded area north of the apartment complex," Mastronardy said in an email. "The suspect ran out of his shoes that were left behind on a wooded path."
Diaz observed a suspicious white male, 30 years old, 5’ 8, 135 lbs wearing a white shirt and blue jeans carrying a bag through the parking lot, police said.
"Officer Dan Brennan was able to determine the bag contained a laptop computer and identified the owner," said Mastronardy. "The officer was able to return the laptop to the victim who was unaware that it was stolen from her vehicle earlier."
The man fled on foot toward the north end of the property. Anyone with information can call police headquarters at 732-349-0150.

White man? Make sure you let us know if he's Christian because that info needs to get out for persecution purposes

Shouldn't of taken much effort to track the guy down since TR police had his shoes and they have canine units.

Well the article didnt say the vehicle was broken into, so we should assume she ledt her car unlocked, with a laptop inside, in an apartment complex parking lot that the police regularlly patrol. Should have let him keep the laptop as a public service
s a public service.
