In the thick of July, often one thing is for certain: the bridges to and from the Seaside Heights area will see heavy volume.

How heavy was traffic this weekend?

Here is a photo gallery of images from Sunday after 4 p.m. over the Mathis and Tunney bridges, and Route 37.

Thanks to Stim-U-LESS and ARRA Money....we have even more congestion last year and this year thanks to the big money union work program underway on the bridge.....

But o'Dumbo's union pals got jobs for 2-1/2 years at least.....and the union leaders got their slice off the top

That made no sense whatsoever. Everyone is now dumber for reading it.

Yes, the volume of traffic on both bridges was extremely heavy this past weekend, which I'm sure was mainly due to the great beach-weather that we were blessed with. However, the late Saturday night accident at the foot of the bridge on Pelican Island & the early evening Sunday accident on Route 37 westbound near Fisher Blvd surely didn't help matters, that's for sure; I hope no one was seriously hurt in either of them!
