Theft of Lawn Furniture Reported In Ocean Beach 1

Police seeking information in two incidents

Lawn furniture was stolen from two summer residences in the Ocean Beach 1 section of Toms River Township sometime during the past week, police said.

Four aluminum chairs, worth $300, were stolen from a residence on West Bay Way.

On West Dune Way, a resident reported that six metal chairs and a metal table frame worth $400 were stolen.

Corporal Roger Crilly is investigating the thefts.

Police are looking for a silver pick-up truck, which was observed in the area. Police are asking anyone with information to call 732-349-0150.

Why would anybody pay 300-400$ for a couple of lawnchairs and leave them out in an area that becomes a ghost after Labor Day?
