Watch Valued At $500 Stolen From Pawn Shop

Front window to business broken.

Toms River police responded to an alarm 2:30 Christmas morning at Q’s Pawn shop, 2608 Route 37.

Officers Chris McDowell and Nate Williams investigated the burglary, and found that unknown suspect or suspects entered the business by breaking a front window with a landscape rock then used a hammer to smash a glass display case.

The owner reported that a  $500 diamond face Movado watch was removed from the case, police said.

No further information was available.

Was probably a pawned stolen watch in the first place, it will show up in another pawn shop in a couple of days no doubt.

But what kind of dumbbell steals a five hundred dollar watch instead of a five thousand dollar one? What's he gonna get for it fifty bucks? The payout does not fit the crime.

Now he just has to learn his numbers & how to tell time..Said: with tongue in cheek.... has no use what so ever for a watch... It's what that watch is worth that he needs...Drugs, drugs and yet more drugs.....self medication or addiction..both ruin lives & families

Why do we need a police department, it appears all these people with comments have all the crimes figured out.

If we're solving the crime, it was someone that was in the shop and knew that the watch was in the display case.

It was probably the owner of the watch that stole it back ....cause he probably pawned it and couldnt afford to get it out of pawn in 90 days and store then owns it...so he got the money and his watch back.....lol

Pawned items are in the safe but the handful of items kept for sale are ln the front displays. I've been in there. They buy and pawn there.

please people.. 99.99% of the people pawning items are either thieves or drug addicts and 99.99% of the pawn shop owners are scum bags making a living off other peoples misfortune. Close them down and watch burglaries go down instead of enabling these douche bags.

I have never seen so many ignorant comments about something that they probably have never had to deal with, just stereotypes. Hope none of these holier than holier people that know everything about everything every need to borrow money in the future because I guess at that humbling moment they wont feel like a drug addict. Morons!!!
