Remembering Flags To Honor NJ Run For The Fallen
My husband and I are volunteers participating in the NJ Run For The Fallen September 28-30, 2012. http://www.NJRunForTheFallen.org. We are also offering to create a Remembering Flag for any family of the New Jersey Fallen this Run For the Fallen is honoring at no cost to the family.
Remembering Flags Honor our Families Fallen Heroes...
We have been providing these unique and individual flags to Gold Star Moms as a gift of comfort for their sacrifice. You can obtain your flag by contacting Helen (Helen@RememberingQuilts.com) and sharing your precious photos and information with her. Your Patriotic Remembering Flag can be displayed outside or inside.
I started making the flags before Memorial Day 2012 to bring a little comfort to Gold Star Moms I have connected with on Facebook and plan to continue. My husband is a retired Naval Aviator and I am a Blue Star Mom and a member of the Blue Star Mothers of the Jersey Shore https://www.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Star-Mothers-Of-The-Jersey-Shore/110213315681887
My oldest son is a Naval Aviator and Iraq veteran and my daughter-in-law is in the Coast Guard and thus we all see how my photos on fabric can bring some comfort. While flying a late night mission over Baghdad in 2007, my son took the photo of a sunrise I use as the background in the collages.
