The Monsignor Donovan High School in Toms River is Ocean County's Catholic High School. As well as teaching its students to live their faith, part of the school's mission is to educate the students in a college preparatory environment.

The school offers courses in the core subjects such as math, English, social studies and science as well as in art, physical education, health, business and technology, music, world languages and religion. The school also has a Campus Ministry Program which consists of retreats, a dynamic service program and school-wide liturgies.

Monsignor Donovan has an arts curriculum for students interested in music, drama and visual arts. The curriculum includes skill building, aesthetics and critique. Throughout the school year there are festivals and competitions.

The school has an athletic program that offers all the major sports as well as sailing and power lifting.
