Liquor License, Land Acquisition on T.R. Council Agenda Tuesday

ALSO: Five new police officers to be sworn in

The Toms River Township council will take up a number of measures at its meeting Tuesday, including a liquor license transfer that could lead to a new chain restaurant coming into town.

The council is set to consider a liquor license transfer that would send a license currently held by Linda Geffner into the hands of Antsul, LLC, a company that franchises Buffalo Wild Wings locations.

The council will also take up an ordinance on first reading which will authorize the acquisition of real property by a numbers of means, including condemnation or eminent domain. The ordinance likely covers the acquisition of easements required for a federal dune and beach protection project.

Among other items, the council will swear in five new police officers and promote one current officer to detective, and honor Toms River United Soccer.
