Barnabas Health Glows Red for February – American Heart Month

The Barnabas Health hospitals and facilities across New Jersey will Go Red for February, American Heart Month. The exterior of buildings that are part of New Jersey’s largest health care delivery system will be illuminated in red in partnership with the American Heart Association’s national Go Red For Women campaign.

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States. It is also one of the most preventable. In addition to raising awareness with red lighting throughout the month, the Barnabas Health Heart Centers are hosting a range of screening events, educational programs, nutritional and heart disease risk assessments, and family-focused programs at Barnabas Health hospitals and community-based centers that extend from Essex to Ocean Counties. From infant CPR courses to cardiac physicians explaining the latest guidelines for preventing heart attack and stroke, and a dance party that encourages people of all ages to get moving, all the activities are designed to improve the heart health of New Jersey residents.
