    Governor Christie claims he hasn’t raised taxes on New Jersey, but the truth is that he simply passed the buck and pushed the burden on to local municipalities – forcing them to raise your property taxes. State aid is getting cut, and the financial pain is being passed along to local residents, even as they lose teachers and police officers in their communities. In fact, when the elimination of the homestead rebate is accounted for, the average homeowner in New Jersey saw a 23.5 percent increase in their 2010 property taxes!
