Community Medical Center Announces Special Therapeutic Yoga Programs for Individuals Diagnosed with Cancer and Heart Disease
TOMS RIVER, NJ, March 3, 2014 – Community Medical Center has partnered with Kula Kamala Foundation, a local nonprofit organization specializing in Yoga Therapy and holistic wellness, to offer professional therapeutic Yoga and meditation programs to individuals diagnosed with cancer and to individuals diagnosed with heart disease, high blood pressure and chronic disease. Programs include Yoga classes oriented toward the specific needs of each community, meditation and pranayama (breathwork), and mindfulness meetings where special topics concerning enlightened every day living will be shared and discussed.
These FREE schedule includes Mondays 3pm Yoga for Individuals Diagnosed with Cancer; Tuesdays 10am Meditation for Everyone; Fridays at 10am Lifestyle Share Circle; First and Third Tuesdays each month at 9am Chair Yoga for Heart Health. All students must pre-register for their first class, sign a waiver and provide complete medical histories. Individuals undergoing current medical treatment need a note from their doctor stating it is appropriate to take part.
Come together to learn, practice, listen to and discuss how a deeper mind-body connection can enhance healing and happiness. Classes are provided in a comfortable, relaxed and non-threatening environment.
The program is free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required by calling 732.309.6787. Program funding is provided through the generosity of Community Medical Center Development office and gifts to the Community Medical Center Foundation.
