Geriatrics 101 at the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center

Ocean County has the highest number of people age 65 and older in the state, each with a unique healthcare need. The Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center is arming seniors with health-related programs and information to help them lead healthy lifestyles.  Join Sara Ali, MD, a board-certified geriatrician and the medical director of geriatrics at Kimball, on Thursday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m. for a free information session that will cover specific issues related to the health of seniors.

Participants will enjoy continental breakfast while Dr. Ali explains the role of a geriatrician and the importance of geriatric vaccinations, as well as various medical issues affecting seniors and how geriatric consults can help older adults maintain healthy lifestyles. Following the lecture, Dr. Ali will be available to answer questions.

The free event will be held at Kimball’s Center for Healthy Aging, located at 500 River Avenue, Ste. 200 in Lakewood. Space is limited, and registration is required by calling 732-597-6075.
