Jersey Fresh and Jersey Grown best describes local Medford fashion designer, Karlanne Pflaume, who is bringing Miss New Jersey, Cara McCollum, to her organically grown fashion boutique "Fresh by Karlanne" on Wednesday August 21, 2013.  Inspired by the "fashion industry's lackluster, and narrow offering, to Americans who don't have access to New York's runways, or an American Express Black Card" Karlanne opened the doors of her boutique to small town New Jersey, not Rodeo Drive, only three years ago.  It is here she moves her own ideas, crafted initially from just a sketch pad and the runway, into her show room where anyone can expect the kind of personal attention hitherto only enjoyed by privileged socialites.  .

After sharing some of her designs at the selective Oscar's fashion show hosted at the historic landmark Loews Philadelphia Hotel she received some notable attention, namely that of Miss New Jersey, Cara McCollum, who asked Karlanne to design her wardrobe for the Miss America Pageant.  For the first time since 2006, the Miss America Pageant will return to its rightful birthplace here in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and how fitting it is that our own Miss New Jersey will be wearing Jersey Fresh, Jersey Grown fashion designs from a small town local.

Miss New Jersey, will be making a guest appearance at Fresh by Karlanne on 160 Old Marlton Pike, Located on the corner of Hartford & Old Marlton Pike, Medford, NJ 08055, on August 21 between 4:00 and 8:00pm.  Come meet Miss New Jersey, and ask Karlanne to share some of her sketches- you'll see how Fresh fashion is born from passion.
