Pineland Symphonic Band Completes Tour

The Pineland Symphonic Band formerly the Crestwood Symphonette, a band of volunteer musicians that's been performing since the 1970's just completed it's successful spring time performance tour of local elementary schools. Among schools visited were Manchester, Ridgeway, Regional Day school, Whiting Elementary and Lakehurst Elementary.

Students were treated to a variety of musical pieces which ranged from music by Henry Mancini to marches. Band members gave short demonstrations of the different types of instruments within the band. The band also performs at local churches as well as numerous adult communities.

Upcoming performances will be: Crestwood Manor, June 17th, Wed. 7:00pm, The Community Reformed Church, July 13th, 3:00 pm, Leisure Village West, Aug. 10th, 2:30pm, Southern Ocean Congregational Church, Sept. 28th, 2:30pm, The Pines, Oct. 9th, 7:00pm, St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Nov. 23rd, 2:00pm, Harrogate, Dec. 10th 7:15pm and Crestwood Manor, Dec. 17th, 7:00pm.
