Benefit To Aid Toms River Motorcycle Crash Victim

JRs hosting fundraiser Oct. 27

52, of Yellowbank Road in Toms River, flew 25 feet off his Harley Davidson after a car accidentally collided with his motorcycle on Fischer Boulevard Sept. 8.

Suffering from injuries and facing mounting bills, a man who friends described as someone who "would help anyone in anyway he could" now finds himself surrounded by friends and strangers hoping to help him in his time of need.

Saturday, Oct. 27, JR's Bar in Seaside Heights will host a benefit for Morehouse.

One of the event organizers, Marissa Sparno, said the event will include bikers celebrating Morehouse's love of the motorcycle community, and are hoping to organize 100 or so motorcycles outside the boardwalk bar.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. the bikers will make a small run to Lavalette and then back to Island Beach State Park before returning to JRs for the events. The benefit starts at 5 p.m. and costs $20.

"All the organizers are in some way associated with Glenn or his family and knew what a great father, husband, and friend he was," Sarno said. "Glenn was the kind of man that would help anyone in anyway he could."

The event is 21 and up and the $20 cost includes a buffet, DJ, free cigar rolling provided by Boulevard Cigar Shop and other giveaways.

If you can't make the benefit at JRs, the organizers are hoping to organize a tattoo day at White Lotus in downtown Toms River. However, anyone who can not attend JRs can make a donation at this link: www.pleasefund.com/pages/5431
