I hope they put a delayed green light at the new intersection. Trying to come out of SR to go straight up Old Freehold Road is a nightmare. The cars coming down Old Freehold don't give you a chance to go as they make that "L" turn towards 37 which keeps you sittiing at the light.

I agree with Gracie. I really hope it doesn't happen but I have a feeling there are going to be a few accidents there at some point. It reminds me of the intersection by Pathmark where everyone is trying to beat the light. No one is yielding to each other by the new Shoprite.

I hope the new restaurant is worth tearing down the old building for. When they tore that historical (Old Time Tavern as a restaurant, and originally called the Ocean House)building down for a new business it tore a hole in the heart of Toms River's History and Heritage, let's hope the restaurant is worth the wait and destruction.

There was a cigar shop at the old Dover Mall. Does anybody know where that cigar shop moved to??

I know there is a cigar shop on Fischer Blvd, but I don't know if it's the same one.

Citta's Old Time Tavern was horrible. The worst food ever. It needed to go.
Skizma January 14, 2012 at 12:47 PM
It was NOT the worst food ever. It was good everyday dining. Loved the place. It was such a loss when they took it down. Old historic places need to be preserved. Maybe they will recreate the new with the old in mind.....

There is actually a cigar department inside the new ShopRite, if you can believe it.
