Local Beaches' Official Opening Dates
Lifeguards begin to staff for Memorial Day weekend, but daily staff aren't there until mid-June
Lifeguards. They watch over us from their stands. We know the sounds of their whistles. Their presence gives us a sense of protection. They are trained to keep us safe. And technically, the beach is closed if there aren't lifeguards on duty. In many ways, the lifeguard's presence means the beach is open.
So we found out when the lifeguards again start to guard those beaches that are right over the Route 37 bridge.
