MTV Raises More Than $1 Million For Seaside Heights

'Restore the Shore' aired at 11 p.m. Friday

Dozens of stars, artists and organizations helped raise more than $1 million in a one-hour MTV-driven fundraising special to help rebuild Seaside Heights.

The event is scheduled aired live at 11 p.m. Friday on MTV, MTV.com, MTV mobile and MTV radio, according to the network.

The cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" - as well as stars from other top MTV shows including "Awkward," "Teen Wolf," "Teen Mom," "The Challenge," and "The Real World" - were live in MTV's Times Square studio, calling donors to thank them for giving, according to MTV.

Stars contributing messages of support who were to be featured on-air included One Direction, Mac Miller, Pharrell, Kim Kardashian, Ne-Yo, Bruno Mars, fun., the Jonas Brothers, All Time Low and Sean Kingston, according to MTV.

"Restore the Shore" also featured live performances from Gym Class Heroes performing the comeback anthem "The Fighter," as well as "American Idol" Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips performing his stirring hit "Home," according to MTV.

MTV asked people to donate $25 or more here and receive an MTV "Restore the Shore" song bundle, which includes 30 songs from the past six seasons of "Jersey Shore."

All funds raised will go to Architecture for Humanity, an internationally recognized non-profit that led rebuilding efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, according to MTV.
