Saint Barbara's Offering Free Thanksgiving Dinner Tonight
Open to those affected by hurricane, or who otherwise need help during the season
From Saint Barbara's Church:
"The members of the Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church would like to help their Ocean County neighbors who have been affected in so many ways by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. On November 20, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, delicious, FREE home-cooked turkey dinners - with all the trimmings - will be served to anyone. Homeowners still without electric, children, EMS workers, police, firefighters, Evacuation Center residents, volunteers and anyone from everywhere and anywhere are welcome to come to our "house" for some comfort and nourishment. Just come and let your load be lifted for a few hours as you are our guests.
If anyone would like to volunteer their time to cook or serve, please call the church office at 732-255-5525."
The church is located at 2200 Church Road, Toms River.
