Teen Pop Star Headlines this Weekend's Events

Joe Jonas will be in Seaside on Friday to debut his new single "See No More"

Once again the summer weekend events are a select few to choose from, but the Jersey Shore does more than enough to makes up for it as a celebrity visit the Toms River area.

The B98.5 Live Beach Broadcast from Seaside Heights will have Joe Jonas, a member of the teen pop group the Jonas Brothers, perform on Friday August 19.  Jonas who is set to debut his new song “See No More” at noon and the event is free to all at the Carteret Ave Stage. If you would like to watch from the beach, the daily Seaside Heights Beach rate will still apply.

Also, Seaside Heights will have another edition of a Movie on the Beach on Sunday August 20. This week’s movie is the PG-13 movie Dreamgirls. Moviegoers will be seated on the beach at the Hiering Ave Stage and it is set to begin at dusk.

Toms River will have another jammed packed weekend of free music from the . Tomorrow, “Jimmy and the Parrots”, a tribute to Jimmy Buffet will perform at 7p.m. at 10thstreet, Waterfront Park, Ship Bottom. Then the of the will host concerts starting Friday. The Toms River Municipal Band performs on Friday, the Frank Albert Dance Band perform on Saturday, and the Roustabouts perform on Sunday. All the concerts begin at 7 p.m.

On Monday, August 22, the NJ State Rowing Championships come will be hosted in Toms River. The 11th annual New Jersey State Rowing Championships takes place at the Toms River Yacht Club beginning at 6 p.m. Lifeguards and recreational rowers of all ages compete on a 7 mile course to benefit the Toms River Country Club Junior Sailing Program.
