Traffic Light Coming to Intermediate North and Old Freehold
County planning traffic light
A new traffic light will be going up soon at Old Freehold Road and Intermediate North Way in Toms River, according to Freeholder John P. Kelly.
Improvements to the intersection will be done so the large oak tree on the southwest corner of the intersection can be saved, he explained.
The work is expected to cost $275,000 and improve access to Toms River Intermediate North, according to county Engineer Frank Scarantino.

Another $600,000 will be spent to add new bridge rail end treatments at 64 county bridges to prevent drivers from being impaled on the existing rail ends.
