Flooded in Silverton: 'This Is Un-livable'

Holiday on the Bay residents have to deal with the effect of the storm surge filling their homes with over 3 feet of bay water.

Nick D'Anton, of Toms River, rented an apartment in the Holiday on the Bay complex for his family of 4. Now, they are facing the horrible aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Their home, now saturated with bay water, is un-livable.

I'm hoping to see pictures of Green Island. I haven't heard anything about that area.

I lived at holiday on the bay for 2 years and loved it so much. Also made it threw the sandy nightmare. Had to be rescued by boat and was so scared. Lost everything except a few clothes a tv.even the the things upstairs are ruinec just the smell in that place. I never want to be around sea water or smell it,, look.at it or be any where close to it. My son and myself and my 3 cats are safe and my prayers are with others going threw the same thing. I was in 377 apt 6

Great story! Glad to hear your on your way back. Also happy to see someone else noticing that inRead More some places it still looks like Sandy hit yesterday. Some mayors might consider that "complaining".
