Weekend Nightlife Round Up for May 19-22

Another installment of the bar and nightlife scene in and around Toms River

Amid the fun that will be this weekend's Seaside Music Festival, we bring you lots of options for local nightlife. Check out the lineup of some of our favorite places May 19-22.

Captain Hook’s, 1320 Boulevard, Seaside Heights- Captain Hook’s is a glorified dive bar that describes their place as “ a playground for adults.” They have Foosball, shuffleboard, darts, pool tables and pinball. They have live bands on Thursdays, and not-to-miss drink specials everyday.
Thursday: The Pickles perform live at 9:30pm.
Everyday drink specials: $1.00 Bud and Bud Lights drafts,  $3.00 house drinks, $7 domestic pitchers, $2.00 domestic drafts,$3.00 Bass pints, $10.00 Bass pitchers, and $3.00 jel shots.

Brickhouse, 979 Cedarbridge Ave, Brick- Brickhouse Bar & Grille offers a full menu and a full bar selection. A great spot to hit up for happy hour or a Saturday night out.
Friday: Live entertainment with Craig Daniel at 9:30pm. Drink specials include $2.50 Heineken mugs and $3.50 Heineken bottles.
Saturday: Live entertainment with Rock Bottom at 9:30pm. Drink specials include $2.50 Miller Lite mugs and $3.00 Miller Light bottles.

The Ark Pub and Eatery, 401 Route 35, Point Pleasant Beach- The Ark has quite an impressive list of beers, and they even have a club in honor of it! This is a great neighborhood spot to enjoy a few rounds.
Friday: Live music with Ned Ryerson.
Saturday: Live entertainment with Craig Daniel.

Sawmill, 1807 Boardwalk, Seaside Heights- As a boardwalk bar, Sawmill attracts crowds of tourists and locals alike. A great spot to stop in for a beer after a hot day.
Friday and Saturday nights: DJ Dance Party starting at 9pm with shot, drink, and beer specials. There are prizes and giveaways as well!
Saturday: $3.00 Heineken and Amstel Light bottles and drafts.

Idle Hour, 2600 Hwy 88, Point Pleasant- Idle Hour is “your neighborhood sports bar” with amazing daily drink specials and live entertainment on the weekends, including a St. Pat’s Day celebration every Saturday.
Friday: All day happy hour until 6pm with $2.00 domestic bottles and domestic pints.
Saturday: Live music with Psycho Daisy at 10pm. St.Pat’s Day specials with $2.00 mugs & $3.00 pints of Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, $3.00 shots of Irish whiskey, $4.00 car bombs until 10pm, and $4.99 corned beef sandwiches.

Martell’s Tiki Bar, Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach- Martell’s is the epitome of a beach bar--with their tiki huts, island music, and Caribbean inspired drinks. You can find local entertainment here nightly in the summer, and on the weekends in the off-season.
Friday: Live music with Mike Dalton band begin early at 2:00pm; Sideways late night at 9pm.
Saturday: Live music with Dr. Cheeko at 1:00pm; Garden State Radio at 9pm.
