We’re just some friends who play music and have a good time livin’ the dream, practicing in my mom’s basement in Toms River.

Q: What is the current line-up of your band and when did you form?

James plays guitar and does the main vocals. Mike plays drums and does some back ups and Biff plays the bass and also does some back ups. We started as a two piece back in 2009-2010ish I think. We released a few cassettes and then we just recently asked Biff to join because he’s our friend and friends should play in bands together.

Q:What genre would you describe your music as/what bands have you been compared to?

I’d say we’re just a garage band to make it easy. I’m not really sure who we’ve been compared to, but people usually just call us like a surf punk band and we sometimes have a country hint and we’re all about that.

Q: What is your favorite place to perform at on the Jersey Shore and why?

Asbury Lanes will always be one of our favorite places to play. There is such a heavy history there and it’s always a real good time. The Shed in Toms River also rules. The best dudes live there and I’ve been going there since I was a little punk in like middle school so its got some sentimental value…probably enough to write a country ballad about.

Q: Any recent news from the group--new music, big shows, upcoming tours?

We’re about to start recording again and put out some new stuff real soon that we’re psyched on. And play as many shows as possible.

Q: What can we expect from a live show?

Peeling like a mango.

Q: What are some of your biggest musical influences?

Basically just like 50s and 60s rock n roll music.

Q: What does your upcoming show calendar look like? Where can we hear your music?

December 16 at the Revolutionary Lounge in Toms River with Mister Snake, Brick Mower, and Melissa & Paul. I think that’s it right now.

Q: How do we find out more about you?

Facebook is always cool I guess (www.facebook.com/bababesnice). There is a tab to hear music on there. And we have a blog too that no one probably reads (www.bababes.blogspot.com)

Q: Anything else to add?

1998 Toms River Little League Team, World Champs never forget.
