Art Exhibit: Not For Women Only

In memory of award-winning Ocean County artist Jane Robbins, the Ocean County College Arts & Community Center Gallery is proud to host the exhibit, Not for Women Only.  This month-long exhibit (now through August 30) features the work of Robbins along with acclaimed photographer Jane Mattson and award-winning Ocean County artist Florence Zdanowitz.  Located on the OCC Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, admission to the Gallery is free and open to the public.

Jane Robbins, recently deceased, was a Crestwood Arts Guild member.  She is best known for her realistic acrylics and watercolors, along with new techniques that she was working with in both mediums.

Florence Zdanowitz brings her batik paintings to new heights in the exciting medium that is so different and very beautiful.

Jane Mattson’s nature photography ranges from people she has encountered to animals she has captured on film to exotic sights she has seen through the lens of her camera.  Mattson has traveled from the steppes of Outer Mongolia to a sojourn with Ethiopian tribes and beyond.

The Ocean County College Gallery is normally open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturdays when classes are in session.  Additionally, the Gallery will be open to the public when performances and events take place in the Arts and Community Center Theater.  (Please check the theatre schedule for times and events.)
