Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Events

Celebrar!  Ocean County College (OCC) is commemoratingHispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) with a number of events.  This year’s theme is Diversity United, Building America’s Future.  All events are FREE and open to the public.  Unless otherwise noted, events are held on the OCC Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.

Food & Music!  Come join us as we celebrate with our “hermanos y hermanas de Peru” (brothers and sisters from Peru) on Thursday, September 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Solar Lounge, College Center.  Peruvian Cuisine catered by Super Pollo II.

Zumba!  Join the Latin-inspired dance fitness craze on Tuesday, September 25at 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium.

Hispanic Heritage Trivia Game Show!  $200 in cash prizes!  You have to be in it to win it on Thursday, September 27from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. in the Solar Lounge, College Center.

Children’s Spanish Story Time read by OCC faculty and staff on Monday, October 1 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ocean County Library, Washington Street, Toms River.
