Mob-Themed Book Reading by New Jersey Author Jon D'Amore

Come meet dynamic author Jon D’Amore, who uses his personal experience with the New Jersey Mob to create an engaging and thrilling tale of family, extortion, and organized crime in his book "The Boss Always Sits in the Back". Based on his familial ties to the New Jersey Mob in the second half of the 20th Century, Jon weaves a story so compelling and complex that it could only come from someone on the inside.

Having had no intention of joining the ‘family business’, Jon set out to make his name in the 1970s music scene. However, after accepting an invitation to spend his twenty-second birthday in Las Vegas with his godfather, Jon unsuspectingly finds himself in the center of a multi-million dollar scam that would go down in Vegas history and change gambling legislation across the United States.

As he recounts his life spent with the Italian Mob of New Jersey, he gives us a true glimpse into a world that has inspired film, television, and music for decades past. It is both gripping and relatable, capturing readers with his honest account of the inner workings of organized crime and a story emphasizing the utmost importance of family. It all began because, in Jon’s words, “for your Godfather, you’ll do anything.”
