'Titanic: Survivors and Their Stories' by Traveling Literary Theatre

Traveling Literary Theatre presents a World Premiere Production of 'Titanic: Survivors and Their Stories' with a recreation of First Class Titanic lunch menu on April 15 at the Arts and Community Center at OCC.

The Titanic was the largest ship the world had ever seen and her end was the greatest maritime disaster known - the world has yet to recover from the shock. Sunday April 15 marks the actual 100th anniversary of the sinking and at 2 p.m., Traveling Literary Theater™ will present a world premiere production of 100 Years - TITANIC - Survivors and Their Stories. This authentically costumed presentation will explore the facts and details surrounding that infamous voyage through amazing, heartfelt accounts from those who survived the disaster and boarded the Carpathia on the morning of April 15, 1912. "Deeply regret advise you TITANIC sank this morning after collision with iceberg, resulting in serious loss of life. Full particulars later." J. Bruce Ismay, Director of the White Star Line

Traveling Literary Theater™ will share the stage with Dan Levinson and his Café Parisien Band. Onboard the Titanic, eight musicians pierced the north Atlantic air during the wee hours of that fateful morning. The cheerful, uplifting strains that placated 1,514 ill-fated souls during their last moments on earth, and that would haunt the 710 survivors for the rest of their lives will be honored and recreated by Dan Levinson and his Café Parisien Band. This performance will launch the band's TITANIC MUSIC world tour. Since 1993, Dan Levinson has been a member of Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, and has been featured with them on Garrison Keillor's: A Prairie Home Companion radio program, they have performed at Carnegie Hall, and on the HBO hit series Boardwalk Empire, in addition to the band's weekly appearances at Sofia's Restaurant in the Edison Hotel in Manhattan. The Café Parisien Band on April 15, 2012 will include Vince Giordano.
