Labor Day Weekend Nightlife Round Up

The weekend that marks the near end of summer's heat is here, but we've still got some time to soak up that warm air and enjoy the local treatment on our shores. Below are some of the most sought-out destinations for the long Labor Day weekend.

Jenk’s Club, 300 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach-The premiere nightclub at the Jersey Shore, Jenk’s has top notch live entertainment, can’t-beat drink specials, and high energy dance parties.

  • Friday: Party boys Go-Go Gadget play all your favorite hits; DJ Prime late night. $2.50 Coors Light until midnight.
  • Saturday: The Nerds and DJ Encore at 10p.m.
  • Sunday: Flying Mueller Brothers at 2p.m. Go-Go Gadget and DJ Unique at night with $3.00 Corona and Corona Lights all night.

Hemingway’s Cafe, 612 Blvd, Seaside Heights-Hemingway’s is a covering-all-the-bases type of place, offering a bustling dinner scene, nightly entertainment, and a relaxing location near the beach.

  • Friday: Ladies Night with half priced drinks for ladies. $2.00 Coors Light bottles and $3.00 bomb shots. DJ Milky Mike will be spinning. No cover for ladies.
  • Saturday: The Hottest Dance Party Down the Shore with music by DJs Billy the Kid and DJ Teo. No cover before 10pm.
  • Labor Day: Ball Buster’s Dueling Pianos Comedy Show at 8p.m. No cover.

Beachcomber, 100 Ocean Terrace, Seaside Heights-A popular spot among the late night partiers, Beachcomber has nightly drink specials and the best cover bands on the shore.

  • Friday: Live music with Rumor Has It at 10p.m.
  • Saturday: Steve Brown performs at 3p.m.; Shorty Long at 10:30p.m.
  • Sunday: Frankie and The Burn at 4p.m. Temporary Grace at 10p.m.
  • Labor Day: Juggling Suns at 10p.m.

Martell’s Tiki Bar, Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach- Martell’s is the epitome of a beach bar--with their tiki huts, island music, and Caribbean inspired drinks. You can find local entertainment here nightly in the summer, and on the weekends in the off-season.

  • Friday: Tiki Tea Fridays starts at noon with DJ Tempo. Mike Dalton Trio will be performing at 2p.m. Johnny Drama will be performing at 9p.m.
  • Saturday: Dr. Cheeko at 1p.m. Peat Moss & Fertilizers at 9p.m.
  • Sunday: Dr. Cheeko at 12:30p.m. 3AM band at 8p.m.
  • Labor Day: Triple Play at 2p.m. Garden State Radio at 9p.m.

Wharfside Patio Bar, Channel Drive, Point Pleasant Beach-Tucked behind the Wharfside Restaurant sits the charming Patio Bar that has been a haven for locals for years. The outdoor patio offers a casual dining menu, a raw bar and cocktails all overlooking the Manasquan River and Inlet Islands.

  • Friday: Art Servillo Duo from 2 to 5p.m. then Undisputed from 6 to 10p.m.
  • Saturday: Not 4 Nothin from 1 to 5p.m. then Mike Dalton Band from 6 to 10p.m.
  • Sunday: Enjoy! band from 1 to 5p.m. then Phil Engel Band from 6 to 10p.m.
  • Labor Day: C.O.A.L.G. from 1 to 5p.m. Big Baby Ernie from 6 to 10p.m.
