This Weekend: Michael Jackson Tribute Band at Surf Club

"Who's Bad" show several options for first weekend in June

Ah, June. We have the luck this year of starting one of the best months of the year on a weekend. Friday is June 1 and there's no shortage of local events to help you kick off the month.

S is for "Save me" and also Surf Club, on Saturday when the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band will perform in Ortley Beach. And while T is for "Take it slow" the band, called Who's Bad, will take you on a joyous ride through the entire MJ discography, from the Jackson 5 to solo career. It'll be complete with choreography and the Motown to late 90s sounds Jackson's career spanned. The show is sure to be fun night at Joey Harrison's. We'd expect that when it's over you'd be saying "O is for Oh No! P is for Please, please don't go!"

Who's Bad comes to Joey Harrison's Surf Club as its second stop on a national tour. The show begins at 8 p.m. in the 21-and-up club, on Ocean Avenue in Ortley Beach. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Surf Club Box Office (732-830-8000).
