Toms River Native Joins Cast of 'I Love You, You're Perfect...'

Show runs through Oct. 21

Surflight Theatre continues its 2012 season with the musical revue 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change,' running today, Oct. 10 through Oct. 21. 

Featuring book and lyrics by New Jersey native, Tony winner Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, the production stars Leslie Henstock, Toms River native Neal Mayer, Lyn Philistine, and Christopher Sutton.

The Surflight production is directed by Christopher Sutton (who was a cast member in the Off-Broadway company), with choreography by Lyn Philstine and music direction by John Baxindine.  Diane Montalbine, who performed as the violinist on the original cast recording, will repeat her musical duties onstage at Surflight.

This musical comedy about love in the suburbs, is a look at love and relationships. The long-running off-Broadway show played more than 5,000 performances at the Westside Arts Theatre. The script and lyrics showcase a dizzying spectrum of male/female relationships as four actor's journey through a  series of vignettes that explore the trials and tribulations of single life, dating, marriage, loss and heartbreak.

This revue pays tribute to the complexities and absurdities of awkward, intimate moments as bad first dates, meeting the parents and family trips. proposals.

Following I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Surflight Theatre presents Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park (October 24 – November 4), and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (November 23 – December 21). 

Surflight Theatre, 201 Engleside Avenue, is located in Beach Haven, New Jersey.  

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will play the following performance schedule:  Wednesday, October 10 at 2 p.m.; Thursday, October 11 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Friday, October 12 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, October 13 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sunday, October 14 at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, October 17 at 2 p.m.; Thursday, October 18 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Friday, October 19 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, October 20 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, October 21 at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $36-$54.
