Evacuees At Toms River Intermediate North Up And About - Day Two At The Shelter

Day Two At The Shelter - Evacuees Are In Good Spirits

Volunteer staff at Toms River Intermediate North were up at 5:00 AM getting breakfast ready for evacuees.  People started stirring around 5:45, and filing into the cafeteria set up in the gymnasium.  Volunteers served coffee, tea, juices, cereal bars, breakfast cakes, fruit cups, and more!

The bulk of the food both here and at Toms River North HS has been prepared and donated by Luigi's Deli and Four Seasons Diner, both of Toms River.

Volunteers include Boy Scout Troop 36, CERT, and local Toms River residents.  Local police and EMTs have been standing guard, and helping out for almost 24 hours now.

Appreciation to Anthony Sierchio from CERT, who has helped to coordinate and manage the operations at both here and Toms River North HS.

The weather outside is rainy and windy, but not severe at this hour.
