Flash Flood Warning Issued

Toms River officials are warning residents to watch for flooded roads through Tuesday evening. 

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning through 5:15 p.m. for several areas throughout the state, including Toms River. 

"Flooding reported in all areas of Toms River Township," reads an emergency alert sent by the township's Office of Emergency Management. "Please use caution while driving!"

According to the NWS, "very heavy" rain will fall throughout the state, including in Ocean County, as thunderstorms move through. Rainfall could total 2-3 inches.
