Anyone who may have been in or near the area at that time and witnessed the incident or observed anyone walking in the 571/Renaissance Drive vicinity is also asked to call.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s to 30s, about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 lbs. He is believed to have a tattoo on his right forearm, police said.

The would-be carjacker should be considered dangerous and residents are asked not approach or contact him. All information will be kept confidential, according to the department.
